Lymphapress Compression Pump

Compression Therapy with LymphaPress©

Sal offers private compression therapy only sessions with the LymphaPress© pneumatic compression pump, to help with managing your condition, whilst also reducing treatment frequency and costs.

Hands-on treatments are always the better option, however, when you need 2-3 or even 4-5 sessions per week it becomes quite costly.

These sessions are currently available outside of Sal’s usual treatment hours for room access and privacy.

You can also enquire with Sal about getting one of your own, this will get you well on your way to managing your condition yourself with the potential of not needing so much treatment.

As an added bonus – Sal can combine her hands-on treatments with the use of the pump to extend her treatment reach and cover more areas

What is Pneumatic Compression Therapy?

Intermittent Pneumatic Compression provides external pressure to the arms, legs and torso to promote the circulation of blood & lymphatic fluid from the extremities.

Garments with compression cells within them are placed around the affected limb, and the pump allows for them to fill intermittently to provide the compression.

Compression therapy has become very popular, with the use of pumps in the sports recovery setting. These types of pumps are only suitable for those with a healthy and intact lymphatic system. They enhance the removal of post workout waste for recovery purposes. They are not suitable for lymphoedema due to gaps between the compression cells.

LymphaPress© Features

The LymphaPress© pneumatic compression pump, has been specifically designed to support the return and continual flow of lymph, simulating manual lymph drainage.

Features:

  • Pressure Ranges 20-80mmHg (Sal compared a few pumps side by side and found the lymphapress at 40mmHg was as strong or stronger than 80mmHg in other pumps)
  • a pre-therapy setting, designed to clear the pathway in preparation for drainage
  • sequential (segmental) & peristaltic (wave) treatment modes,
  • Variable Post Therapy mode, pumping distal, mid or proximal for a concentrated area
  • Adjustable pause time between cycles
  • Adjustable hold times
  • Cycle lock to avoid accidental pressure changes
  • Lightweight & portable
  • Dual voltage (ideal for travel)
  • Very comfortable and good continual flow compared to others that just squeeze

You can use the LymphaPress© compression for:

  • Lymphoedema management – to reduce oedema and promote continual flow
  • Lipoedema management – to reduce pain & fluid retention
  • Vascular oedema – to enhance circulation and removal of residual blood and waste
  • Sports recovery – to enhance blood & lymphatic flow, alleviate muscle soreness and improve flexibility and range of motion
